Welcome to my wigwam on the world wide web!
My name is Carlos Carrasco. I was born in Havana Cuba way back in 1963 and have lived in these United States since 1968. I grew up in New York City and have, over the years, lived in California, Louisiana and Pennsylvania. I now live in South Carolina.
As the blog’s masthead asserts, I am a practicing Catholic. And I will keep on practicing Catholicism until I get it right.
I am also a novelist.
I’m not much of a blogger. I’ve made two previous abortive attempts at blogging, only to discover that I’m not very good at it. I’ve only started up this third blog because the consensus of writers everywhere is that one needs platforms such as this for visibility. Fine. Consider my cyber shingle hung for all the world to see!
Here you will find the means to purchase my novels (see Below) and get updates on works-in-progress. Mostly, however, I will use this site to share the vids, posts and articles of other writers and other creators’ content that has intrigued me and will hopefully interest you as well. All of it will serve as grist for my imagination’s mill and somehow, someway and someday work itself into my writing.
My Latest Novel
FAITH & EMPIRE is the first book of my Holy Terran Empire sci-fi series. This Catholic blend of Star Wars and Star Trek will appeal to all lovers of space opera, regardless of the reader’s creed. It is published PERMA-FREE (it will not cost so much as an email address) and can be had from any of the major e-book retailers by clicking the following Universal Book Link: https://books2read.com/FAITHandEMPIRE-1
My First Novel
THE HOUSE OF WAR is the first book in my The Omega Crusade series. It is a political thriller set in modern times with a page-turner of a plot stitched together from today’s headline. It too is published wide, available from any major e-book retailer for just $4.99 by clicking its Universal Book Link: https://books2read.com/u/b68Yyp.
Pick up a copy today and go get your Crusade on!
I maintain the G.K.Chesterton web site at http://www.gkc.org.uk/gkc/ which has copies of many of his works.
You said in one comment: “I believe works are necessary to be saved”
I recently preached on the subject of “Assurance of Salvation” which addresses this question, you might find it interesting. There is a copy of my slides and recording of the talk here:

I’ll check it out this weekend. Thanks!
