I’m considering writing a post or three about the positive portrayal of Christianity in Science Fiction. Needless to say, not too many examples spring to mind. You, dear reader, are undoubtedly much better read than I and so I implore your help. Below is the short list of the books that I know of and have read that treat Christianity fairly, if not outright positively. If you know of others, please list them for me in the comments section below.
I would be much obliged!
Lord of the World by Monsignor Robert Hugh Benson
A Canticle for Liebowitz by Walter M. Miller
The High Crusade by Poul Anderson
Cestus Dei by John Maddox Roberts
Love Conquers All by Fred Saberhagen
The Mote in God’s Eye by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle
I would recommend Hiero’s Journey by Sterling Lanier. It is a more ‘frothy’ read than Canticle for Liebowitz but does feature a Christian order.
